End of the first week

Our first week was awesome! We were able to meet all of our special teachers and started our swimming lessons. Together we explored how much we have grown since we were in Kindergarten and reviewed some math and reading skills. We read a fun story about the first day of first grade and practiced using our class centers.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Monday!

We had a fabulous first few days of school in First Grade! Our first theme is Identity Awareness and we kicked off the year by getting to know all about each other. We created ME posters filled with facts and pictures all about us. We also worked on collages and self portraits showing things we love. Our first homework assignment was to fill our All About Me bags and share with our classmates special things from home. Along the way we read wonderful stories about the nerves and different feelings we experience before the first day of school. Now that we are all acquainted it's time to get to work!
