Last full week before break!
This week was very busy! We started learning about another exciting arctic animal the polar bear! In math we practiced symmetry by creating snowflakes that demonstrated 2 sides of a shape that are the same. And who can forget our amazing and educational trip to the children's museum in Delray Beach!? There we saw beautiful marine paintings and sculptures using many different types of mediums. Our guide helped us discover new ways artists capture the majestic marine world. This trip was an excellent start to our upcoming interdisciplinary science unit-Junior Oceanographers! Have a great weekend!!

Great week!!
This week we had a great time exploring more about penguins using a webquest and a super video Growing up Penguin. We also practiced our shapes during math using our geoboards. Our 5 th grade reading buddies came for a visit and we read a great story about Tacky the Penguin and learned how to write a haiku. We use facts to create our own poems to hang on the hallway bulletin board. We also had a wonderful time reversing holiday songs in music and at our winter concert. During fun Friday we practiced balance using hundreds blocks!
